Scott Niejadlik

Creative Technologist & Experience Designer

What Makes Me Tick

Creative technologist and systems thinker/tinkerer that has been on this journey since high school, effectively giving me 30 years of experience building real-time interactive systems that live at the intersection of creative stories, innovative systems, and surprising moments.

I design and develop immersive installations, extended reality platforms, and high-impact experiences that transform complex software into emotionally resonant environments. I specialize in prototyping intelligent pipelines and reactive systems—always with an eye on motion, narrative, and the user's lived moment.

I seek to explore and push the boundaries of how we engage with technology and our senses. How we can create a better and more expressive engagement with information, our environment, our history, each other, and ourselves.

My work ethos tries to innovatively connect the emotions of a story, logically with the systems needed to deliver longevity and scalablity, all while allowing for crafted moments of surprise and delight to push boundaries.

Experience in the Experiential

PegaSystems
Senior Innovation & Experience Manager
2017–Present

Creative and technical lead for real-time, spatially designed experiences at the heart of Pega's largest global engagements. I architect immersive, content-driven environments for the PegaWorld Innovation Hub and the Edge Center for Innovation, transforming enterprise software into high-impact storytelling systems.

  • Directed the experience, design, and guest journey of the 100,000 sq ft Innovation Hub—evolving it from a collection of booths into a purposeful, modular experience ecosystem grounded in story, interactivity, and scalability.
  • Created larger-than-life interactive digital installations, including a 5m x 5m x 5m transparent LED cube, a 16'x16'x8' walk-through infinity room with 2,400 touch-reactive LEDs, and full-scale augmented reality scenes.
  • Developed and deployed real-time interactive platform demos, allowing guests to explore Pega software through AI-driven simulations, touchscreen interfaces, and spatial storytelling tools.
  • Engineered real time livestream extended reality presentation systems from Powerpoint to Disguise using TouchDesigner, Unreal Engine, OBS, PowerPoint, Disguise, OSC, NDI, and DMX.(Presentation)
  • Led development of modular content orchestration tools for fluid demo switching, live event control, and multi-channel experience management.
  • Pioneered architectural previsualization workflows, transforming how teams plan and communicate both Innovation Hub and executive briefing center environments.
  • Built dynamic layout enginesand spatial simulation tools to rapidly prototype event footprints, basic flow models, and briefing center architectural planning.
  • Developed dynamic GLB, FBX and USD-based pipelinesfor integrating assets from Blender into TouchDesigner, WebGL, Unity, XR etc. Depending on the engine this is effective for enabling grouped asset control and real-time manipulation for interactive presentation elements.
BEAM Interactive
Creative Technologist
2013–2017
Senior Flash Developer
2006–2013

Built some of the leading edge web interactions at the time for brands that wanted to push boundaries. Led R&D and interactive production for a range of clients at a leading digital agency. Focused on emerging technology, platform logic, and visual storytelling.

  • Developed immersive and interactive experiences for MINI USA, Converse, Fidelity, AMG, MFS, and Nara Logics.
  • Maintained core logic and UI/UX design for the MINI Configurator platform across multiple years and iterations.
  • Explored and implemented early augmented and virtual reality use cases for clients and agency prototypes.
  • Delivered high-impact motion graphics and Flash development for campaigns supporting Comcast, PUMA, Athenahealth, and others.
Freelance / Academic / R&D Projects
Independent engagements and earlier foundational work
  • Massachusetts Lottery – Keno Front-End Rebuild (2024)
Rebuilt the Keno animation engine and integrated live data pipelines.
  • Hyland – Flight of the Valterri (2024)
On-site support and Data Capture Specialist for an award-winning digital campaign.
  • MIT + NYU - Augmented Reality Presentations (2016)
Delivered live AR presentations at the AR in Action conference at both MIT and NYU. Created Unity-based demos and intro animations for the event. (Talk 1 · Talk 2)

I got to speak right after Ken Perlin which was a secret honor, and hard act to follow.
